WARN Meeting 2011 in Thailand

Thailand hosts WARN meeting 2011

The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) hosted the 2011 “3rd conference on wildlife rescue in East and South-east Asia” at the WFFT wildlife rescue centre and Petchvarin Resort in Petchaburi.

60 delegates from 18 countries that were representing over 30 NGO’s and government departments spend 3 days listening to presentations, discussing wildlife issues and exchanging experiences and knowledge for the benefit of wildlife conservation and animal welfare.

During the conference 15 organisations decided to officially register the Wild Animal Rescue Network (WARN) and start working more closely together within East and South-East Asia. An official communiqué will be issued soon on WARN’s future.
