World Orangutan Day 2025

🌏 It is World Orangutan Day 2025.

As we celebrate one of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom, it’s a crucial reminder that orangutans are under growing threat – not just from habitat loss, but from increasing human-wildlife conflict.

As forests shrink due to agriculture, development, and illegal logging, orangutans are pushed closer to human settlements, leading to conflict, injury, and even death. This isn’t just a wildlife issue – it’s a call for sustainable coexistence.

That is why this year’s WARN Asia Conference is more important than ever. With the theme “To Protect and Manage Wildlife”, we will be bringing together experts, conservationists, and other professionals to address issues like:

🔸 Preventing and mitigating human-wildlife conflict
🔸 Promoting habitat protection and restoration
🔸 Strengthening regional cooperation in wildlife conservation

Join us at the 2025 WARN Asia conference to be part of the change. Let’s work together to ensure orangutans and other wildlife have a future in the landscapes we share.
